We take sustainability seriously, the whole team does.

It is this commitment which has seen us achieve the ISO 20121 for Sustainable Meetings and Events.

Work behind the scenes and staff training is always ongoing and this month has been no different.

The team came together at the Leonardo Manchester for an introduction to Carbon Literacy where our Corporate Responsibility team led the all-day session based on the principles of the Carbon Literacy Project.

Topics covered included the science behind climate change and its impacts, as well as carbon footprint measurement and greenwashing.

Kirsty Given, our Director of Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability, said:

“The team left feeling more confident in their knowledge of sustainability and equipped to have these conversations with clients.
“We explored the challenges facing the industry as well as possible solutions and brainstormed small and big changes in events to become more sustainable.”

But that’s not all, as there will be a Carbon Literacy accreditation top-up session later on in the year.

The training came on the same day as some of the team headed to the Greengage Sustainability Awards at BMA House in London.

And once there, we were delighted to pick up the Silver Award in the Event Management Company of the Year.

Our parent company Clarity also enjoyed team and individual success – read more here.
