Location, location - June

We take great pride in finding you unforgettable destinations for you as getting it wrong can really make or break an event. Cost, accessibility, weather, experience and amenities are just some of the considerations we take into account when planning and delivering an event.

Manchester

We’re not just saying this as it is Brighter’s HQ but we think Manchester is one of the country’s best locations for an event.

Whether you’re planning an incentive, conference or an event with a different, the city has so many things going for it.

There are fabulous venues from large conference centres like Manchester Central or one-of-a-kind spaces like The Monastery in Gorton or Victoria Warehouse.
With dozens of hotels with great meeting and event facilities, there is something for every budget.

Add to that, Manchester is well-connected for transport thanks to its central location in the UK.

You can be at Manchester Airport in minutes while there are direct rail links to London in just over two hours, as well excellent motorway access.

The city has really built a reputation for itself as a centre for innovation, research and education, with world-renowned universities and a thriving tech, digital and life sciences sector.

This makes it ideal for academic and industry-specific events.

And everyone knows Manchester has a rich cultural scene – its museums, music, sport and nightlife make it a popular place if you’re looking to mix business with leisure.

There’s a real passion in the city to become zero carbon by 2038 too, many venues and hotels are adopting sustainable practices, which is increasingly important for event planners.

Manchester in three words:

Welcoming, Innovative and Vibrant.

Oman

Maybe not on everyone’s radar yet for an event but Oman is increasingly becoming the choice of destination for savvy event planners.

One of our Brighter team was out there earlier this year and loved its blend of tradition and modern, as well as natural beauty.

Let’s face it, there can’t be too many places in the world with dramatic mountains and golden deserts, as well as pristine beaches and fjord-like coastlines.

And with the nation’s proud traditions and warm welcome in abundance, delegates are guaranteed a memorable experience with cultural venues and heritage sites adding an added dimension to an itinerary.

Cities like Muscat boast luxury hotels and modern conference facilities, including the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC), which is one of the region’s premier venues.

Accessibility to Oman is good too via Muscat International Airport, with direct flights to major cities in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

With the world evolving at pace, Oman is known for its political stability and safety, a key factor for international event planners.

With the The Oman Ministry of Heritage and Tourism actively supporting MICE tourism, it is keen to offer incentives and assistance for international events.

It also encourages sustainable tourism with authentic experiences, from eco-resorts to traditional dhow cruises and desert camps.

Oman in three words:

Unspoilt, Natural and Stunning.
