We know how to enjoy them too – by doing so it means we’ve all the inside track on hundreds of great venues and activities at home and abroad.

Some of the latest team building events we have planned include...

  • Taking a party on the fastest zip line in the world in Wales where they got up to speeds of up to 100mph… while their colleagues chose to luxuriate with a spa day!
  • We’ve organised a pitstop challenge at Silverstone where delegates competed to become the fastest to change a tyre on an F1 car.
  • There have been a number of batak board challenges where people have taken on interactive reaction game walls.
  • Smoothie Bikes have had cyclists pedalling energy to mechanically power a blender and people have been part of a mosaic wall where their photos have been placed on an art board to create one large image.
  • We’ve also had delegates making toys in Portugal which have been donated to children’s charities and being part of a tri ski challenge where teams have battled to cross a river first.
  • And our latest team building activity which we’re currently working on is a scavenger hunt for nearly 30 people in the Lake District.

But like we said from the outset, we’re not always planning, we enjoy taking part in the team building activities which help inspire us when creating memorable events for our clients.

Two of our team recently enjoyed a great day out at the Big Manchester Bake, having been invited by our hotel partners the O’Callaghan Collection, which features four of the best four-star hotels in central Dublin.

Project Executive Ellie Cunningham and Events Apprentice Annabel Thorlby-Wilson headed to the event where they were tasked with baking the best Irish Princess Cake while enjoying a selection of drinks and light bites and meeting members of the O’Callaghan team.

Annabel was also invited by Alicante to Food Sorcery in Manchester last month for a Taste of Alicante cooking challenge. While there she took part in a hands-on cookery class as well as enjoying Spanish cocktails and wine and local delicacies. There was also lots of time for valuable networking with the Alicante city reps and hotel suppliers at the event planned by Moulden Marketing.

Our Venue Find and Groups Consultants for Groups & Events, Emily Fowler and Isobel Skelton headed to the PAC-MAN live experience in Manchester thanks to Great Hotels of the World.

Isobel said:

“The interactive experience helped break down corporate barriers, allowing for relaxed and genuine conversations about how we can collaborate more effectively. It’s also great for us to experience activities in our own area to then share our feedback and recommendations with clients when they require booking similar team building activities.”

And Team Manager for Venue Find and Groups, Becky Bell, wasn’t to miss out on all the excitement as she was invited to an event at Chaos Karts in Manchester – which she heartily recommended!

Being invited to these sorts of events gives us just the right insight into venues and how they might be the perfect fit for a whole range of our clients.
