Out and About in July

The team has had another busy month at home and abroad as we have organised some more memorable events, as well as attend various industry get-togethers.

We attended beam’s two-day Annual Forum at Novotel London West which had a theme of ‘Relationships 2.0 - The Heartbeat of Hospitality and Human Connection’.

It’s where Sharon Bannister, our Head of Sales, Meetings and Events, participated on a panel entitled 'Trust, stories and standout sales: Relationship-first growth in the digital age’.

Annabel Thorlby-Wilson headed to Lisbon for a SANA Hotels fam trip where she got to explore Lisbon as a potential destination for our clients, as well as have a look around the SANA properties.

And Venue Find Consultant Khloe Grinter was invited to aHilton fam trip where she got a whistle stop tour of Antwerp, Rotterdam and Amsterdam.

Roberta Parr, our National Operations Manager for Events, visited Istanbul and Cappadocia with Mundus Representation.

During the trip she experienced travelling with Turkish Airlines, as well as enjoying hospitality courtesy of MEP DMC and the Shangri-La Bosphorus Istanbul and the Avantgarde Refined Hotel Cappadocia.

And last but not least was Project Executive Taylor Greenhough who headed to Madrid for The Meetings Space’s Summer Event.

Based at The Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, the action-packed, two-and-a-half day event attracted more than 85 buyers and over 140 suppliers

Taylor said:

“The trip to Madrid with The Meeting Space was an amazing experience where I got to meet with many suppliers and learn more about their properties and businesses. During my time, I saw the beautiful El Retiro Park and rowed a boat across it, we did a beautiful bold colours party in the evening and had lovely walks around the various sites in Madrid.”

Back in the UK, we organised another successful event up in Newcastle and another in Derby for Rolls Royce, as well as being on-site at NIHR’s 2025 Training Camp at Hinckley.

Some of the team were on-site for an event for our client in Newcastle, followed up by our latest event for Rolls Royce in Derby.

The team were also present at a training camp in Hinckley for our clients NIHR, as well overseeing another successful event for Assimil8 in Liverpool.

And rounding things off we have the team down at Southampton University for a fortnight-long run of Summer Graduation ceremonies.

We’ve had plenty more to keep us busy this month with one eye on more exciting events, industry meet-ups and site visits in the pipeline for the weeks to come.
