Double winners at miaList Awards 2024

The events industry congregated at Hilton’s Liverpool City Centre venue for the showpiece celebration organised by the Meetings Industry Association (mia).

With more than a dozen awards presented during the evening, we are excited to say that the Brighter scooped the coveted Events and Operations Team of the Year prize!

And the good news didn't stop there, Jo Lake, Special Projects Team Manager for Groups & Events was named one of mia’s 10 Individuals of the Year.

Paul Casement, Brighter’s Executive Director - Groups, Meetings and Events, said:

“I’m delighted for the team. This award is testament to their outstanding commitment and dedication to everything they do. It has been an extremely busy year which seems to have flown by but we won’t be resting on our laurels. It’s a great time to be involved in the events industry and I’m proud of the Brighter team which is going from strength to strength.”

And Jo Lake, on being named one of mia’s 10 Individuals of the year, said:

“I am absolutely over the moon to be awarded the award. There are some amazing people in this industry and to be recognised as one of them is incredible. I couldn't have done it without the support from the team and wider management - it really does take a village!”

As we come to the end of another successful awards season, we have seen ourselves and Clarity Business Travel pick up an impressive 11 award wins for 2024!
